Garou druids borrow from nature when crafting staves or weaving robes. In Ghornfell they took antlers from deer, and leather from their hunted prey. In the Umbral Sands they were forced to adopt a… sparklier approach.
Parts of the kalphites, most notably their wings, were a scintillating spectrum of beautiful colours. As they caught the sunlight, they would bloom into a radiant rainbow of delight and Karia found herself overcome with a strange sort of envy previously unknown to her people.
She wanted to sparkle. She wanted to shine. She wanted to live a life encased in the most magnificent and wondrous colours, and she would do anything to make it happen.
To call the events that followed a war would be an over-exaggeration, but not wholly inaccurate. The garou descended on the hives with blade, claw and bow, ready to tear the beasts apart so that they might claim the colourful materials for themselves. The kalphite, of course, did not fall easily and many garou lives were lost in the clothing-mad conflict.
