Garou magic is not born of runes, but of their connection to the moon, the stars and the spirits within them. Moon Garou shamans dance in the moonlight, with the glittering moon sprites swirling around them in mystical threads that help to reshape reality. Magic is sacred, spiritual and serene. Shamans wear these robes so that the tribe may know to call on them for spiritual aid, both magical and personal, as the shamans act as counsel as much as magician.

The first of these robes was woven from silken threads created by the now extinct glimmeringwing moth, a species that used to dwell within the Moon Garou cities, evolving glittering wings that looked like the glass mosaic patterns used to decorate the streets.

When Fuzan razed the cities and destroyed those mosaics, the glimmeringwing moth species became a tragic casualty of his cruelty. Outside, in the sands, their sparkling wings were not camouflage, but beacons, drawing every predator to them.
