There are few beings on all of Gielinor as strange as the KotHaar. They, like their distant cousins the TzHaar, were once members of the TokHaar race, but long ago split from the hive mind to serve a different function: protecting the Lens.
Each of the KotHaar is an individual, yet they do not see themselves as a separate organism from one another. They function something like an insect hive, each of the KotHaar fulfilling a specific function, so that the greater community can exist.
They have no leaders. No politics. No selfish desires. They exist for one another: a perfect, cohesive whole.
Or they did. Fuzan put an end to that.
The KotHaar-Hur are workers. Once, they served as the backbone of KotHaar society. They lifted the rocks, they carved out underground tunnels. They are the glue that kept a secret society of obsidian creatures together. Now, the magma that animates them has been turned against them by Fuzan’s Mark, and the KotHaar-Hur turn from labourers to cannon fodder in Fuzan’s twisted games.
