Trees are arrogant creatures, standing tall in the forests and refusing to bow to the wind. For decades they spread their roots, claiming dominion over the nearby soil. The claws of beasts are a mere distraction. Raging storms barely rustle their leaves. They refuse to move for anyone, arrogant to the core.
Yet, it is not the wind, nor the heavens that shatter their resolve. Indeed, it is the lowliest of stones, refined to an edge. No matter how old the tree, how sturdy its frame, a single stone, the size of your fist, can bring the mightiest ash low.
The Stone Axe is an alliance of such a rock, working together with branches cast aside in the tree's hubris. Proof that even the lowliest of us can make a difference.
