During the final years of Bramblemead corruption had run rampant. Nobles took more than their share and the priests who watched over them turned a blind eye in exchange for their own share of glittering coin. Those who did not possess noble blood, found that their lives became harder, their earnings became smaller and joy became a much more fleeting feeling than it had done before.
One woman decided to change that. She would attack trader caravans marked with goods for the castle, taking from their purses of coin. Tax collectors would also feel the sting of her arrows, surrendering their wealth to the woman clad in green. She was given the name Nightingale, because of the whistling noise her arrows made as they flew through the air, an almost musical tone that sent fear through her targets.
Villagers would then wake in the morning following an attack, to find purses of coin in flowerboxes, window shelves, or resting neatly under the fattest, laziest, cats.
