Wear the skin of your enemies, so that they know to fear you! This is the ranger way, to dress themselves in the outer layers of weaker dragons so that they larger dragons know not to mess with them.

Such was the logic of Bilar Amaris, a hunter that dwelled withing Emberwood. He was renowned among the locals, skilled with the bow and capable of taking down almost any prey. When the green dragons descended on the region, he decided that he would be the apex predator, hunting them down.

This was partially done in a misguided attempt to win the affections of the “black-haired beauty” that had set up a little potion shop in the village. Like many idiots, he had convinced himself that all a woman could ever want was a strong man that was capable of killing something bigger than he was.

He was, unsurprisingly, deeply mistaken.
