Doric would be the first person to praise the simple hammer. It is a large solid chunk of metal attached to a long haft, allowing the weapon to benefit from the unmistakable might of physics. Weight and speed are a terrifying combination.

Dwarves, in particular, favour this weapon. They feel it speaks to their long-held desire to form metal by pounding it into shape by sheer strength alone. They apply the same logic to their enemies, beating them into a shape that the dwarves feel suits their enemies better.

There were once dwarves on Ashenfall who were masters of this technique. However, when the humans began their infighting, and Guthix turned away from them, they vanished deeper into the continent in search of something extraordinary, leaving behind a shroud of mystery.

They found what they sought and have never returned.
