Bronze was once a secret held by the ancient dwarves. It is a more robust metal forged from an alliance of two others.

This union of metals was often used as a symbol of cooperation. Alliances would store signed documents in bronze scroll cases or sign them with a pen made of tin and another of copper.

On Ashenfall, it was used to show that the old ways could stand beside the new. For a while, in the Third Age, druids wore pins of copper, and the Saradominist priests wore pins of tin. They would then stand together, side by side, in village council meetings, a promise that neither one stood stronger than the other.
