Rune essence has the unique property of absorbing and transforming ambient magic into something than can be used by even races without a natural magic aptitude, like humans.
An Air Rune contains anima that is aligned with the wind itself. A practitioner of magic can take the rune and convert it into a gentle breeze. Or, with enough of them, a gale force wind.
Very popular in the summer months.
