Stone is not traditionally great at channelling magical energies. Stone is hard, solid and unchanging. Its shape can be carved away, but it will not bend, nor yield, only snap and crumble. Magic requires a more pliable medium to be used effectively.
Yet, the KotHaar are older creatures, to whom magic itself must bend. Creatures who were forged at the very birth of magic on Gielinor. The magic of the Elder Gods, to which all of creation must kneel.
This staff, the TokTz-Mej-Tal is older than the civilisations of Gielinor, and it still carries some of that old-world magic within it.
Try not to break it.
