The ghostly remnants of ectoplasm can be strangely appealing to certain fish. Perhaps it is the siren call of the rivers of the underworld, calling all life to it’s ultimate destination. Perhaps it’s some sort of ancestral grief urging the fish to reconnect with those they have lost. Perhaps it’s simply that they find the thing pretty. Who can really say?
