In truth this is not a demonic fish, but rather the result of strange magic and infernal energies. The eel is naturally a magically attuned fish, some generate small thunderstorms within their flesh, others blend with shadows becoming almost entirely invisible. These eels, infused as they were with the abundant anima of Ashenfall, became changed by the energies of Downdun Reach’s demonic rites.
Fortunately, the transformation, while a little disconcerting, only really serves to give them a slightly spicy aftertaste.
